About

In this course, participants learn what is digital government, why it is important and how it can be promoted. It shows how the digital transformation of government - or the lack of it - affects citizens in their day to day.

After the courses learners will be able to:

  • Identify the characteristics of a digital government, its benefits and the key pillars that every government needs to incorporate into a digital transformation.

  • Identify good practices in countries where the implementation of a digital transformation has benefited citizens and institutions.

This training was designed for public servants from Latin America and the Caribbean whose aim is to implement or improve the digital strategy of their country, as well as to acknowledge its implications. It was designed as a microlearning experience.

My Role

Manage Project & Develop Learning Resources

I managed the project alongside team leaders, stakeholders and SMEs. I was in charge of the project sprints and follow-up of all the development of learning resources. I produced all the learning resources with external vendors and instructional designers, resources included: instructional videos, learning activities, questionnaires, infographics and interactive readings.

I also managed the implementation and delivery of the MOOC on edX platform and the strategic communication campaign.

Assets & Tools

Using Agile Methodology & Prototyping

For this course, we implemented an agile project management approach for the design and development of learning resources.

We adapted the methodology of Agile Design by Torrance Learning to our needs and used this approach since it provides a framework for adapting to change as it happens. We implemented sprints sessions to organize deliverables and keep involved team members, vendors, stakeholders and SMEs.

For the learning resource,s we developed an iterative design process and prototyping. This methodology supported the early and often delivery of learning resources for constant client feedback and for faster identification of improvement areas in the design process.
