Risk Management in Development Projects
About
Project teams usually spend a large portion of their time-solving problems instead of preventing them.
This Massive Online Open Course (MOOC) teaches to preemptively manage positive and negative events that may affect a project so as to improve its chance of success.
It has been delivered for 10 editions, in English, Spanish and Portuguese, with more than 30k participants registered. It has been adapted to a tutor-led version, certifying more than 200 government officials in more than 6 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean; and is part of the Risk Management Program that includes face-to-face training components.
My Role
Design & Develop Learning Resources
I was responsible for the development and design of all learning resources for this virtual training. I worked alongside SMEs and stakeholders developing, validating and creating content for instructional videos, practical learning activities, questionnaires and interactive readings.
I also managed the implementation and delivery of the course and its tutor-led version on edX platform.

Using Personalized Templates
For the design and production of learning resources, I designed personalized templates and worksheets, so SMEs could identify the core content for each learning resource and align it to the course’s learning goal.
Through these templates, I make sure that the development of learning resources integrates learning objectives, best pedagogical practices, multimedia learning principles, and technical aspects for pre-production and implementation.
